Looking for thoughts on 6.5 Super LR round

I have been reading about the 6.5 Super LR round on 6ar.com for a while now. I am currently shooting a 260 Rem for 600 & 1000 F class matches. I started using Lapua brass which works well, but is pricey. Then I tried some Winchester 243 brass necked up that is starting to become more widely available. It seems to work very well as well, although the cases may not last as long. After reading that I could use the Win 243 brass and form the 6.5 SLR brass in a single pass and avoid the dreaded doughnut: I am interested in any thoughts on this round. It seems to fill a niche with it's 30 degree shoulder, good case capacity, long neck and reasonable barrel life. The only downside that I can see is die availability. Although it looks like I can get die sets from Whidden as well as the Redding sets offered by 6ar.com.

I'm shooting a 6mmSLR. Go with the Whidden dies, you won't be disappointed. Either the bushing or non-bushing. Buy the expander ball kit to tune your case neck ID if you get the non-bushing dies (which I prefer).

I just finish one for the wife. I couldn't get it to shoot 4350 at all switch to 4831sc and it came to life. It shoots 45.5 gr 4831sc and 140vld's jumped .011 in little holes now
