looking for some good books to read?

Ok guys what are some good books to read and where can they be found?

precision shooting, Ballistics, Advanced reloading, and reading the wind etc. These are my biggest interest but any suggestions on books that cover long range shooting would be great!
Thanks

The most recent, recommended book is Bryan Litz's "Applied Ballistics For Long Range Shooting." That covers three of your subject areas. ;)

Couple dozen titles -- all "classics" in their topic area.

Also consider the Lanny Bassham materials for wind-reading and mental prep.

This is my reloading Bible: Precision Shooting Reloading Guide. I am not a rocket scientist when it comes to reloading (or anything else), so I read this book over-and-over. Also when I'm sitting at my PC with nothing to do I will put in the Precision Reloading for Accuracy DVD from Richard Franklin and watch it again. It kind of helps to keep the old brain on the right track. Applied Ballistics for Long-Range Shooting and Extreme Rifle Accuracy are also very good reads.
It really would be nice if someone would come out with a new 'advanced reloading' guide/book/DVD with updated info on powder, bullets, primers, burn rates and the works. That would even be nice to see in a revised version of QuickLoad. Things change a lot and it has to be a real challenge to keep up with, but surely its time.

I, Sniper looks like it will be a good read, I have to get this one.

Thanks guys! I have precision shooting (reloading guide). The book was a great book and I go back to it time and time again to look for answers. Hopefully I can improve my knowledge of custom guns, and shooting skills as I have in reloading. To be honest my reloading knowledge excessively out weighs my knowledge of custom varmint, and competition rifles! I just bought shooting precision at a 1000yrds read the first few pages today while waiting on the wife to get ready to go out to eat. She had to fuss at me to put it down lol! Seems like it's going to be a good book!
Thanks Again!

Annie just read about that on the daily bulletin. I agree seems like it might be a good book!

Point of Impact, by Stephen Hunter. It's fiction, but a hell of a good read. The movie Shooter, is based on this book. P.O. Ackley's books are very interesting.... Anythng by O'Connor or Elmer Keith is hard to beat.Enjoy, Steve
