Looking for input on Roy Hunter Custom 6mm bullets

I've been trying some of Mr Hunter's 106's in my BRA. They shoot extremely well for me out of an 8t, 4H rifling, Rock Creek barrel. These bullets are amazingly uniform, right out of the box, and have beautifully trimmed meplats. Roy told me that they liked to jump, so I started at.005 off and they shot well, but when I backed out to .020 off they REALLY shot small. I'm sure they'll work jammed as well, but I'm happy where I'm at and think I'll quit there and save the barrel. I seem to have found a fairly broad vel node from 2880 to 2920ish. Will prob stay in this low node in anticipation of our Texas heat that will be here all to soon. Last time I checked, Field and Cave still had a few of the Rock barrel blanks left. Seems like the Hunters and the Rock creeks match up well

After seeing your targets, there may be one fewer in stock. Just what I need, another barrel!

Trying to figure this out.

Holding a box of 108 gr. Roy Hunter bullets I got from him just this week. Talk of 103's and 106's. What about the 108's?

Did put a few on the FX120. Got a variation of maybe .06 of a grain. Quite a pleasant surprise compared to others I use and weigh. After first look at them I had to get a magnifying glass on the meplat. Looked flawless to me. Asked Roy if he pointed these. "No".

Will also say he found a rather serious flaw in seating and concentricity of ALL my BRA loads that has been going on over a year. Major steps to correct that taken and soon - I will be trying these 108's.

That's all I know about Roy's bullets except I think Terry used them to take a second at Manatee.

I got two of his stocks! And one on order. And 4,000 of his bullets waiting for the snow to go away.
I hard a rumor he is down south for a couple of weeks. Something about teaching those southern
boys how to shoot or something like that. I am trying to find him and get him back home so
he can work on my stock. And about those stocks, Sid Goodling said he builds the straightest
stock by far.

I sure do appreciate the fine fellas who have chimed in here on Roy's bullets. I shot a 600 yd. club match today and won a first place with his 106's 14 shooters in Lt class was a great turnout, but the weather was so nice, had to have inspired many to come out. My best group was a 1.850" but what got my attention was that 4 of 5 was a .352". Thank you Roy H....!

Can anyone tell me what the BC might be on Roy’s 106s? I’m planning on shooting these out in Phoenix at the mid range match and might try them at 1000 if conditions are good. I haven’t had time to shoot beyond 100 yds but they shoot very small with my 6x47 at around 3125 fps.

Shot some of Roys 108's today. Seating depth did not make much matter from +.006 to -.010" Shot numerous 3 & 4 shot groups but only at 100 yards. The LARGEST group was .220".

Used 30.6 gr. H4895 with single-digit ES but only 2905 fps from a 30" Bartlein 7.5 twist. Will test at 600 but will also test in the 31 gr. range to get more speed.

I've only shot them one day, and only out to 300 yards. They shot extremely well all the way up through over pressure. Played with seating depth a bit towards the end and found a zero. I've sorted the 106, and they are right there with vapor trail. I was hoping to see some results trickling in from 1000 yards while I wait for winter to give it a break here. I do know Tony Rogers was cleaning up at 1000 in Georgia until he ran out of ammo lol.http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/cool-acres-1000-yard-opener-semi-live-results.3971072/

I believe this is Tonys 2.3" group at the 1000 yard Georgia match. His agg was impressive as well.
