Looking for Dave Hoback -- Accu-Trigger Q

I'll admit that Dave helped me with the Accutrigger on my wife's savage, just what do you want to know?
Dave posted info on the trigger (on that other forum) and I don't know if he would actually have more, newer info than was already posted.
Shimming, different springs, and maybe a little stone work should do all that is necessary.
It will NEVER be a 2 oz trigger but can be made to be safe at pulls much less than a pound.

I was able to get the blade to less than 2oz with a total pull just under 7oz.

It might be easier to find him on the other forum. I think he reviews it on a regular basis. You can also send him a message if needed.

I'm not a fan at all of the accutrigger. I've replaced mine with Timney and JARD. I have another JARD coming for a 110 PCS that I'm working on. JARD offers two ranges of triggers, 7-12 oz & 13-18 oz.

Wife was coming from an AR to the bolt gun and 7oz is plenty light for now.
I might go a little lower now that she is used to it.
Trigger to hanger wobble is something the factory needs to address.
Until then, users need to shim.
Totally eliminates false drops.
A false drop can happen if you touch a LIGHT trigger from the side or when the cocking pin comes off the notch to the sear running the bolt home.
I find you absolutely need a trigger pull gage that indicates to 2oz or less.
(or dead weights).

People talk about trigger creep.
With pulls a pound or more most fingers can feel sear travel (creep) and want to 'adjust' it out.
With lighter pulls you might have trouble feeling creep. Sort of disappears with light pulls.

Yeah what was the problem there? He was a pretty decent guy that helped whenever he could.
