Ok. That makes sense, as they make some very heavy for caliber bullets and cater to the "really" big game market...like cape buffalo and shit. I didn't look at the price but I bet they're not priced like most everything else. None of their bullets are.
I built a .416 Rem Mag for a guy a few years back that he said liked them. It was a switch barrel, .338 Win Mag/.416 Rem Mag. He has taken it to Africa, I do believe.
I found a couple of pics. It was a nice rifle.

Yes, definitely, to the 577 CID! The only replacement for cubic inches, is cubic $$dollar$$.Do we need a 577 Nitro Express to kill DG in Africa, or a 577 cubic inch engine to make 700+ horsepower? Absolutely not.
I agree, you really only need about 500 CI to make 700 HPDo we need a 577 Nitro Express to kill DG in Africa, or a 577 cubic inch engine to make 700+ horsepower? Absolutely not.
The 231 cubic inch flat six Porsche engine makes 700+ hp, and 553 LB-FT of torqueYes, definitely, to the 577 CID! The only replacement for cubic inches, is cubic $$dollar$$.![]()
How much boost? The 231 cubic inch flat six Porsche engine makes 700+ hp, and 553 LB-FT of torque0-60 in 2.7 seconds
Rear engine fury.
Factory set, whatever it is. You can always increase itHow much boost?
It is impressive how efficient the new, small engines in today's cars are in terms of making hp. But your example makes my point...It took money to replace those cubic inches. One, in the form of it being a Porche and the other by it needing a turbo to do it. All else equal, if you had a 500 cid Porche with a turbo, it would likely make a lot more hp and torque. I spent several years building racing engines. Worked on everything from street engines to stock car, drag cars, Indy car(those are some bad little dudes!) and Bonnieville salt flat cars....Pulling trucks and tractors, drag boats..You name it. There are no free rides, but yes, technology has made huge improvements in efficiency. Thing is, most all of the tech that applies to one make can be carried over to another one that has more cubic inches. Then where are we?Factory set, whatever it is. Actually, if you look at something like the Hellcat Demon, it's supercharged. Technology has moved us a long, long way. The Porsche price tag comes with fit & finish, quality of components, performance and German labor. It is impressive how efficient the new, small engines in today's cars are in terms of making hp. Bullet design and firearms in general haven't changed much, by comparison.
23 caliber.....
He said what caliber...so i thought something new and mo' better might do it.Beat me to it AGAIN!
multiple winners on that case.Well fellas. I made my mind up...
Kinda.... going to do multiple barrels, on custom action. Parent case for all future work is going to be 47 lapua. 7x47 and 6x47 up first. Hope to do 22, 6.5, and 30 for future. One brass equals home run for me. This should be fun and hell i may try the 23 and 25 for you 23/25 lovers. Thanks for your help. Now to pick an action...
there is always nitrous! Don't know what the equivelent would be for a rifle though. The only replacement for cubic inches, is cubic $$dollar$$.![]()
Probably a 284 Lapua. Lol!there is always nitrous! Don't know what the equivelent would be for a rifle though.
