Hey guys I'm looking for a 20 inch 1-8 twist match Barrel that's accurate and has a good price on it. Any recommendations? thx

I have a white oak and it is not bad but not great , I understand they are Wilson barrels. For best accuracy I would pay up for a Kreiger, criterion or shilen etc now or buy one of the brownell barrels on sale fo 90 bucks for a blaster

Here is a cut and paste from Whiteoak Newsletter. Konrad's barrel is a 7 T WOA Wilson barrel. That score is shooting against the top dogs from the military teams and the civilians with bolt guns and gas guns.

"Konrad also won the final 600 yard match outright with a fine 200-16x. Konrad recently switched to the 82 gr Berger for his 600 yard load and it seems to be working very well for him out of his White Oak 1-7 twist barrel. A case full of RL-15 propels it on its way."

Thread reminds me I need to get some  GM blanks for future needs:) I wouldn’t pay up for a finished premium ar-15 barrel but I’d spring for a premium blank if I really needed the absolute bestest ar 15 accuracy but I don’t right now.

Plus one on White Oak Armament. Those guys are competitors. They shoot a lot and really know how to make the AR shine.

Hey I bought a AR Stoner barrel from Midway . I just wanted to try something and I did it myself. well with Black Hills 69 gr SMK it shot .250-.350 I hand loaded up some 69 Gr SMK, Varget, LC brass. shoot well .250's .350 at 100 yards as well as most varmint rifles. Very Happy with it. I have had a lot of custom barrels but this was my first AR barrel and it looks as nice as any custom barrel I have ever had. If you read all the reviews on it seems a lot of people have had the same good results I have.

I use Criterion barrels in both 5.56 and .223 Wylde chambering exclusively for my customers that require chrome lined barrels and match grade accuracy. I use Krieger for those customers that require stainless.

It's not unusual to see an upper equipped with one of these barrels to shoot 1/2" groups with boring regularity.

And yes, the ONLY difference between Krieger and Criterion is that Criterion does button rifling and Krieger uses cut rifling.
