Long Range scopes with at least 4" eye relief

I've even been scoped by lower recoiling rifles. I sometimes start to get comfortable shooting the smaller rifles then forget all about eye relief when shooting from an odd position uphill. They'll bite pretty hard too. Even a lightweight 204 Ruger can crack you pretty good ;)
It looks like your telling us if we shoot long enough with different rifles, scope eye is going to happen. Something to look forward to I guess. LOL!

Yep! Depends on the type of shooting tho. It's pretty easy to avoid scope eye shooting targets at a range. Spend enough time hunting big game or varmints in mountainous or hilly terrain, you will earn that badge eventually ;)

The best one I have is a 2-10 GS3 Steiner, they advertise 3.5" to 4.25"
I keep it on my 45/70. It's noticeably longer than any of my other scopes.

Practice in different positions will cut down the likelihood of a scope bite. If you only shoot and zero on a bench a couple times a year and go in the woods then it will probably eventually happen but if you practice through the year in different positions and from different obstacles that you might see in the field then the likelihood drops considerably. Even if that practice is on a square range. Comes down to being comfortable and competent with your gear.
