Long range hunting scope?

I’m looking for a new scope for my 22-243 for coyote calling. I want something that’s not super heavy would like a open lockable or zero stop type elevation turret. Don’t want a heavy scope. Now I have been think the Leupold vx5hd 3-15 would fit perfectly. But have seen another guy has had issues with his turret or erector system breaking on his vx6 wasn’t just one scope of his was a few different ones. Now how are these? Do they track well and hold up? Or should I look to something else? How is the glass in them? I currently have a vortex pst geni it tracks well just the glass sucks want something better. I want something with either an moa reticle or a wind Plex for wind hold offs for the longer shots I’ll dial for elevation. Any other ideas in the price range of the vx5hd.

SHV is a good scope but the higher magnification models weight around 30 ounces. Far from light.

Bushnell has a new line of scopes called "Engage".
The 4-16x44 Engage has open locking turrets and weights around 20 ounces.
They haven't been out of very long so reviews might not exist yet.

8541 Tactical just did a short preliminary overview of it and will be doing a full review soon.

Street price will be no more than $400.

Thanks for the heads up on this new Busnell. Watched the promotional video and those turrets that you pull out to adjust then snap back in to lock look pretty neat. Reckon it’ll be to good to be true at that price?

It's made in China. You pay your money and take your chances.

What about the Leupold VX3i Long Range Precision scopes.
Choice of 4.5-14x50
6.5-20x50
8.5-25x50
FFP and SFP models and a few reticules to choose from.

I have a vx6HD and just ordered a vx5HD 3-15x44 for my coyote rifle. I like them. They are light, the turrets are the best on the market for a hunting gun IMO, glass is excellent.

Take a look at the 2.5x10, 56mm objective, scope from Trajicon. Optics Planet has the Accupoint on sale and you might get another 10% off if you order by midnight. wrap10 is the code to get the extra 10%.

Take a look at the Sightron STAC 4-20x50. I have a couple of the STAC scopes and love them. I prefer the MOA reticle but there is a duplex version. They make a 3-16x42 as well. 23 oz on both models. Glass is very good and weight is not bad. Price is fair on these scopes.

I have a vx6 3-18 as well, sweet scope, I’ve done a box test with it and it was spot on! would buy another in a heartbeat!
