My gunsmith buddy that you met the last time you were here I think is now rethinking his Arkansas piggie battery !
I think perhaps he's tired of carrying the 375 H&H MAG , 416 Rigby and 505 Gibbs . But it's like the old guy said "If you're gonna be dumb ya gotta be tough"
Last year I had gotten him to carrying a Remington Model 7 Stainless synthetic in 300 SAUM . Maybe this coming year I can talk him into a 260 or 7-08 !

I will get to killin' some pigs soon I suspect. I have a friend in Pa. that thinks I need to come chase them there, plus Fathead (its not Fatboy by the way, Fathead....) here says that this guy in Texas is the real deal good guy. Maybe we will travel back down to thump a few more.

The coyotes are working on the deer pop here in central VA , so I'm about ready to give up whitetails . Had my worst year in the past 22 years ! Only got 3 deer in VA and one in MD this year .
You and you're brudder outtah fly into Scranton next year a day or two before deer season I'll pick you both up and we can meet Ralph , Butch and Bob and do the PA opener one more time for old times sake . Heck maybe you can talk your pop into coming back also !
Oh almost forgot we gotta have the Goat along also , I mean what would deer hunting in the Poconos be like without John LOL's !
The piggie thing is up and coming here in the next county to us . Have several friends that do the night vision etc and pop a good many of them .
My gunsmith buddy took me to Arkansas with him last year and we hunted the southeastern corner of the state not to far from Greenville MS . He and another friend from Cali were doing it at night with red lights etc . I chose not to do the night stuff and did my own thing during the day . Last year we got one , but in years before that they killed as many as 14 or so in a week between three of them .
My gunsmith friend's dad has a old college buddy that owns about 90,000 acres of swamp/marsh land in AR mainly for duck and deer and thats where we piggie hunted . It was an experience as I'd never been to TN , MS or AR but after that trip I'd seen a fair amount of all three states .

I have driven from Pa. and back and texas and back in the last month and a half, I could count all the deer I seen on those trips on one hand.... My trip back to pa was all too much of a reminder as to why I left in the first place!!!!!!!!!!1holeaddict said:

Lets get back to topic . Jon and I went to my place a few days ago to hunt pigs and coyotes . we soon gave up on pigs and got out mouth call after dark . coyotes were howling on a hill above us after a short calling session Jon turned on his nite vission and a coyote was speeding toward us . He calmly focused his scope and nite vision barked at dog and dropped him in tracks just wanted to brag on Jon a bit
