Long range accuracy f-class vs Atlas 5h bipod

Hey guys I'm looking to buy a new bipod for my tactical 300 win mag long range rifle and would like input between the LRA f-class bipod and the atlas 5h bipod.. I've tried to look up info and vids on both bipods and information is very limited..has anyone used both of these? Pros ? Cons? I'm shooting more towards the LRA but would like input..
thanks

They use different techniques. The F class bipods with ski feet are designed for shooting nearly free-recoil, and for fast follow-up shots without disturbing the gun.

The Atlas (or Harris) bipods are generally designed with spike or grip feet, and are usually shot with a hard hold, loading the bipod forward a bit. This is a slower position to re-establish shot to shot, but far more forgiving of uneven terrain and odd surfaces. For instance, try to shoot over tall grass or under a log with an F-class bipod.

In other words, the Atlas is a tactical bipod and the LRA is an F-Class bipod.

So, if you're shooting on a square range with flat positions, with a heavy gun, the F-class bipod rules. If you're shooting tactical-style stuff with varied positions, the Atlas is going to be far more versatile.

I have the LRA F-TR it is very sold bipod the Atlas has both pan and cant while the LRA just has cant which is just fine for F-TR. I think you can not go wrong with either one.

The way I read the op's post is I don't know that he' looking to shoot F Class as much he's just looking at bipods and F Class is in the description of one of the bi pods.

I've used both over a number of years. The LRA is slightly heavier and steadier, due to the larger size/wider footprint. Although not as "nimble" as the Atlas for the very same reasons, I think the LRA would be the much better choice for recoil and torque generated by the .300 WinMag. Both bipod types should be loaded with the standard feet (i.e. neither are used in the standard configuration for "free recoil" shooting).

Hey guys.. thanks for all the replies. I was not particularly looking at the f class to shoot competition.. just wanna buy once and not look back and wish I would of bought something else. I made a phone call to euro optic and the guy told me by far the LRA is a better bipod just like all the responses I'm seeing.. so towards the end of my conversation with this guy he basically told me to go with the LRA light tactical? Just one size under the f class ? Should I have gone with the f class instead?

mine is the F-TR I like the way the rifle sits lower and helps in making it more stable

It is the LRA F-TR it built to support large size Caliber rifles. I like the way the rifle sits lower in the bipod stays on target better
.
What is the diff from the TR and the light tactical other then more stability? Legs shorter? Beefier bipod?

Oh gotcha.. yea I asked about the f class model and they told me for a 300 win mag it might be overkill that the f class are more intended for .338 and above. I was told between the f class and the light tactical there's not to much of a diff. Just that one sits on top and the other sits a little lower. But that the light tactical was still a pretty beefy bipod.. hopefully I made the right choice to buy the light tactical

The difference is wings. or what looks like wings if you look at the link willbas has you can see the difference

The F class has a horse shoe shape which cradles the rifle, lowering the centre of gravity. the tactical has less U shape (flatter). The tactical's shorter base is more inline with the width of a rifles stock, a design to avoid getting hung up or snagged on things if you needed to low craw or drag your rifle.

All the best
Trevor

I'm running a PSR on my 338 Lapua with out any issues and shoot sub moa groups. You do need to load them to prevent it from hoping when you fire. The 5H was primarily developed for the 50 cal.
