Well, about all I can say is, come try the match. Then form opinions. I formed mine at the very first Tackdriver. Guess that is why I have perfect attendance. And I have yet to win. Or even get real close.
I know no match can satisfy everyone or manage to give every discipline an even chance. Can you imagine bringing your rimfire benchrest rig to a Tackdriver? And I know that every discipline has the things that make it unique. (I am way too old to run and gun in the PRS world). This format is designed to give a number of different disciplines at least a chance to come and show off their stuff.
Even more than that, it is a great way to meet and mingle with shooters that you might not normally associate with. As Jim Cline so eloquently put it. The Tackdriver is a family reunion that just happens to coincide with a shooting match.
