Well, about all I can say is, come try the match. Then form opinions. I formed mine at the very first Tackdriver. Guess that is why I have perfect attendance. And I have yet to win. Or even get real close.
I know no match can satisfy everyone or manage to give every discipline an even chance. Can you imagine bringing your rimfire benchrest rig to a Tackdriver? And I know that every discipline has the things that make it unique. (I am way too old to run and gun in the PRS world). This format is designed to give a number of different disciplines at least a chance to come and show off their stuff.
Even more than that, it is a great way to meet and mingle with shooters that you might not normally associate with. As Jim Cline so eloquently put it. The Tackdriver is a family reunion that just happens to coincide with a shooting match.

PRS will get slaughtered out there. The PPC's have dominated even at the 330yd mark

Do PRS guys not know how to tune their rifles? Or, do they just choose not to tune their rifles?As much as I have seen some of the rights cost, I cannot imagine that they are incapable of shooting small.

PRS rifles are completely different animals. They are not made to sit still and shoot. They are made to run and gun.

They dont have to shoot bug holes to be successful. That have to be light and fast.

The same way a bench gun would get eaten alive if you tried to use it in PRS.

Actually, the PRS rifles might come closer to being competitive in this match than a Benchrest rifle would be in a PRS match. I sure would hate to have to carry my 20 pound single shot rifle over a PRS course.

Not like BR requires, literally not even in the same galaxy. They’re two completely different disciplines. The lengths BR shooters go to with load tuning, rifle tuning, harmonic tuning, condition tuning, tuner tuning, bag tuning, PRS guys would never even think to do, because it’s not required of them to compete in their game.
No one said they’re incapable of shooting small groups. But short range BR small and PRS small, over 10 relays throughout the day in changing conditions, is a completely different animal.
