Loading/brass ??

Sorry about all the post as of late. I am getting things lined up and want to make sure I am doing it right. I have the rifle built and ready. I cleaned it last night with Hoppes #9 and it is clean. I just need to mount the scope and load for it. Here is my plan:

1. Take a piece of brass and a bullet to measure the lands.
2. Load up 3 piece of brass with the bullets I plan on using to measure the outside diameter.
3. Run my brass through an expander die.
4. Run brass through my Redding die without the expander ball and a bushing that is .002 less than my measurements from step #2
5. Chamfer brass
6. Prime/charge/seat bullet .001 into the lands.

Does this sound right??? Again, sorry about all the questions but it means the world to me to have this resource and help.

and is this a single shot or repeater? if repeater, you OAL of the loaded round may have to change in order for the round to fit in the magazine or magazine well.

Regarding step 4: Not sure why you need to do this....depends on what brass your using and what your chamber needs......BUT.....be sure you don't bump the shoulder back from the factory dimension (unless it's a wildcat)
