So I'm getting ready to order a couple of the Sinclair chamber length gauges and thought I should order something else so I'm not paying shipping on such an itty bitty piece. I'm anal that way I guess. Anywho, I thought I'd pose the question as to what was or is the one little or maybe not so little gadget that is on your loading bench that you have gotten more use out of then you ever thought you would or the one thing that you're really glad you bought! Lets try to keep it below a 50 dollar bill if possible. And go!!

Pocket MINI flash light so you can see when you're looking for the stuff you've dropped. And an "extra" pair of cheaters if you use them.
You'll put them on, walk out of the loading area with them on, put them down and the next time you need them.... Where are my cheaters?

I hope this shows. It’s a caliper base that is made by a forum member. When I purchased this, I thought it would be a neat addition to my tools. It has been very handy and I use it multiple times, every time that I am reloading. Very, very handy and money well spent. You can purchase this type of tool from Hornady (and likely other’s), but this is smaller and lighter.

Instead of cheaters I have a hand lense type magnifying glass, use that a lot.
Also, I use the Wheeler method to check seating depth and this is helping for removing the ejector on my model 700 bolts:

Some way to remove spent primers, I use RCBS universal (22 up) and a Redding small for 17,20 cal. I full length size brass whenever possible with the die gutted. Mandrel for final inside neck diameter. Small primer pocket uniformer.

Haha I once Pay'd $800 to save $30 . I bought a 10/22 for $180 , all the fees to buy it were $30 . I figured that $30 made the 10/22 not worth the cost so I bought a 1911 as well to spread that $30 out
By far it is my Redding competition shell holders , worth EVERY penny .

Our Wade 8A lathe,with the taper attachment,and some other options was..... $400
Had mostly cabinet damage from a dumbass forklift operator. And they were too stupid to TURN the original brass/knurled drawer knobs. And used a wrecking bar to open a cpl drawers. All fixed,painted. Wonderful machine that has a pretty dedicated following.... is the only real competition to the small Hardinge's precision.
Just bringing up the idea that usually..... at some point,you're probably gonna have to step up your tooling and equipment game to further your efforts. Not to take anything away from the handloading,and accessories industries.... they do produce some excellent products.
Specifically towards the OP, I'd say smallish machinist vises are about the handiest thing on our handloading bench. Our loading room is no where near the shop BTW.

One of those spaceship looking deburring tools. That was the first tool I bought in 1985 when I started reloading .45 acp. I bought an LE Wilson. I still have it and still use it every loading session. Still sharp.
Also, there are some tool you need to buy top quality and some you don't. Example: you don't need to spend $40 on a primer flip tray. A $5 Lyman plastic tray works. I've had my for 30 years.
