loading 80.5 gr full bore berger bullets

Can load data for smk 80gr be used with the berger 80.5 bullet?

That's a great, accurate bullet. Not sensitive for seating depth, tweak the charge weight.

My .223 bolt gun loves these bullets. They shot the best with 22.5 grs of Re15, 205m primer, seated .002 off the lands. There were other good loads with Varget and n135, but I don’t recall the specifics.
Rifle is a 8 twist 26" Hart barrel on a Stiller Predator V action.

my rifle is a Tikka T3x 1 in 8 24" barrel. I don't have a Berger load manual. Is this berger bu;llet a good choice for 300 yds benchrest ?

My load for a bolt 223 1:7 twist match chamber is 24.4 barget at about 2.460 coal. That is my highest node. Can not go any more

My 80 smk has always been 24.0 at .020 off the lands for hi power. That would clean the target with high x count.

I would measure the jump with the 80.5 and adjust as the shape / ogive is different than the SMK 80. The Berger fly's true, works for me in my Service Rifle at 600 yards well. I jump 10, 20 & 30 thou off, my jump was 10 off, my buddy jumps his 130 thou, yes that is correct, his jump testing found a sweet node at 130,000 off the lands. WOA Wylde barrels in AR service rifle.

Tried a very old lot of Reloader 15, and with 25,5 grains, barely hit 2750 fps.

I only have access to a 100 yd range, so I can't speak to 300 yd performance. I would guess they will shoot well at that distance. Maybe someone else with longer range experience will chime in.

I have a Savage 10 with a Criterion 1-8 twist that loves them with Varget, I have shot them out to 800 with middling success, but they excel @ 300 and 600

Berger 80.5 bullets in 223, loaded off the lands, will shoot really good out to 600 yards.
