Load Tuning 6PPC

To Tim.....If the load is shooting flat, then the horizontal "may" be caused by wind.....right? So you add vertical to the load...right? Well, how are you gonna shoot a 0.0xx" group with built in vertical?? Just asking. I'm still trying to learn. Thanks.
I'm not Tim, so I hope you and he don't mind my post. It depends what your goal is? Do you want to shoot one small group (aka a screamer in a match)...or do you want to shoot well enough through the course of 5 matches to win the agg? A gun in true tune will shoot tiny triangular groups, a gun that just shot a group in the zero's is on the ragged edge of going out of tune, and when it looses tune the conditions have a profound effect (i.e. usually results in major group enlargement). Most matches the shooter who wins the agg is not the shooter who shot the screamer of the day. For some perspective - the record agg at 100 yds ( 5 five shot groups) is ~0.1242" while the record small group (5-shot) is 0.0077".
Also, horizontal can be load induced, specifically seat depth and/or neck tension.
This is as true a statement as can be. I shot a screamer at riverbend last year small group for HV at 100. The targets were a 181 a 214 a 191 a screamer .098. Then guess what. The last target .378 big ugly group. Now if I had just know what was happening I could have done something right or wrong I could have done something. But I had no clue. My great load was now to hot. I came down a click for the next relay and did a little better.

When you shoot a screamer something bad is about to happen. If you are running hot you better back off. If your running a real light load better do something

I thought I would post up the targets for my load at 29.0 grains N133, which includes the comp target groups. The seating depth is .010 off the lands, which for Berger Columns might be acceptable. I looked at a testers results which show very good numbers at -.030 "off jam". If "jam" could be considered +.010 ITL, then I might have a look at -.020 OTL. I really got tired of stuck bullets finding jam, so I did mine to find ATL using seat re-seat until bolt close.

If you have any specific feedback I would be pleased to read it. I am down the range tomorrow to narrow some numbers and hopefully it will be a good day!

I tested for seating depth with 4 different charges, yes I know, I have been backward and scattered with my PPC tuning presentation... however I feel that .010 off the lands is working with these projectiles, just find suitable loads and see how they react?

I also "practised" for my first time at 200yds, using some extra loads that I in the box. 200 at this particular range is much trickier than the 100, as the wind was coming at a down angle probably much stronger than the ticker indicated. Whereas the tape was being blown to 8 O'clock, when you are at the tape it becomes apparent that the breeze was more like 10mph than say 5mph. Anyway I am blaming my poor wind skills for the stray shots and will rest satisfied for now with 2 out of 3 shots well placed in practice being a good lesson. (really hard work without good flags placed evenly)

At 100yds, the 29.0gr load I used in comp seated at -.010 OTL still presented the same at -.020 OTL, but the other loads I am thinking might just be the answer for relays where temperature adjusted loads matter. Thanks for tuning in, (All 3 shot groups)
