lite bullets in a 308

would like to try bib 118`s in my 308 any suggestion have a 30 br and 30X47 why not a 308

Just for fun I got a box of 110 gr. V-max's to try in my 12 twist F/TR. A good friend of mine is into varmint hunting, I suppose that's the root of the inspiration. To my surprise they didn't do to bad. I then gave some 125 gr. Speer TNT's a try. Those did surprisingly well. That progressed to what is now my favorite light bulltet loads, the Berger 125 gr. FB. Not a good varmint load but still a hoot.
I'd think that if you can shoot it out of your 30br, and can tolerate the extra powder the 308 will require, it would be worth a try. Barrel twist may be something to consider though.

thanks for the info what i was really looking for was powders and wieght i loaded some n133 and some h4198 to try tomorrow hope it works thanks

A buddy of mine runs 118's with a stout load of 4064 and W748 (I think the 4064 does better)and does very well with it. He recently tried my mag primers and had as good or better results. I think its a 1:17
