Lite action for ultra lite mountain rifle build

muleman69

USMC -1st marine Div. RVN
Looking for some in put as to what would be a lite but strong action for a mountain rifle build. It will take a long action as I'm going to chamber it in a .280AI. My scope weights one pound and would like rifle to come in around 6.5# Total

I'm not certain, but I believe chrome-moly actions are lighter than stainless steel actions. Is your budget limited?

Didn’t know there were actions made out of Ti. I assume they’re very light, and expensive.

Edit: looked up the Lone Peak action. Not as bad as I thought at $1,200

Might look at the Pierce Ti.
