Our local Scheels had tons of ammo and bullets, even 200.20x and 208LRHT. Not one primer to be found and a little powder. I did pick up two pounds of HS6 pistol powder.

The one near me: bupkis. A couple of rifles in stock (in the desired calibers), on the floor. No primers. No powders. Few bullets. Some ammo.

So tell the floor guy to let the truck go! He's got to get out to my store sometime! Sheesh, some people have all the fun. :D

So long as we are not able to get primers, buying new guns are a mute point for people like us. The average person, ( no we aren't average) in this respect, will buy a box of ammo with the new gun and and maybe shoot 10 or 15 to sight in and think they have enough to protect them selves.

Long guns when empty make terrible clubs, and when the average person sees empty shelves again, that's all they have. You can have all the high price bullets and powder you want, but without primers you still have a club.

My local gun store has had 5.56 for several weeks now and all the 9mm you want for $20. I think it is a good sign with all this loaded ammo showing up. Maybe primers and powders are not to many months away.

I do all of my buying of reloading components on two major gun forums in the PNW, some are local and many willing to ship.
I haven’t been in a local gun shop or major gun retailer in a long time.
