Light varmint stocks?

RVA has CNC machine setup and running, cutting a stock out pretty much every weekend, LV, HV, Hunter or Long Range what ever your flavor. Has several types of wood in stock ready to cut, with or with our carbon fiber stringers and the nice thing about CNC is dead on perfect cuts, symmetrical, and the inletting is dead on. If you're looking for a new stock design he can do it, has also his own design which has been a winning stock design for awhile now.
RVA also is doing complete builds, bullet making, flag making and wind probes if you have need for these look him up or give him a shout.

“Coming back to the very small part I play in building a rife "finishing stocks" if I charged $50 hour it would cost $750-$1000 per unit for the hours worked project dependent of course, but I probably wouldn't have a lot to do Lol”

Well for what it's worth, I'm aware of the stock you are referring to and he made one stock and sent it to him, and he changed his mind, he wanted a 4inch fore then Chris made him a second test stock and sent it to him inspect and decide what he wanted to change. then he sent that back and he made the stock off of that, mind you so far invested hundreds of dollars in material and time, then sent the stock he wanted with the 4 inch fore and then sent back #3 stock all still the same price, then he had it for a 2 week period and then called and said he wasn't for sure if he wanted the stock, so Chris offered to take the stock back and sell it for him and give him the money, now mind you the first stock he made has already been spoken for and sold to a BR long range guy, the test stock was scooped up as soon as it was returned and copied another LR bench guy.. Now if that stock you have in your hand is what we are talking about then that's the story. and any wood stock is subject to twist or flex after gluing, also VA humidity is different than MT. anything is possible, what I do know is that he tried to get that stock back and sell it for him, he never said he had an issue with the stock he just didnt want to build a gun at the time. now Brett I also paint cars and restore cars for over 35 years and sell a many of them at Barret Jackson and mecum auctions all over the US and when working with the public you can't make everyone happy, only can try and I know Chris tried to make him happy.

Oh were talking about the same stock and I know the whole story, including having a removable butt plate. DIDN'T HAPPEN
It looks like 1/2" conduit was used for both pillars, and I literally poured epoxy into the glue lines, and around pillars.
Explain this gap to the rudder mount.
Is that a nail? Seriously !!

I've apologized to know end for even giving the referral to RVA, there was talk of using it for kindling.
As stated above just cuz someone has tools doesn't mean they know how to use them.
Now forgive me for being overly anal with high expectations of a finished product but work like this needs to be brought to light.
And as far as I'm concerned the customer had every right to expect the same.

thanks Ccrider The same guy that all the Monday morning quarter backs here at talking trash about, I did the clear. OH and it shoots lights out so go figure>>>>> its amazing how much trash talking the Benchrest community talks about one another. No wonder when I discuss with a good friend out west about building short range actions along with there f class actions they say no thanks because BR guys are all cry babies, well now I see what they are talking about..I started shooting in 2023 and Chris has always been there for some advise and oddly enough,, not a single person talking crap about him will never win as many matches and championships as he has, oh yes with his own stocks and his own chambers, and bullets..I have been shooting his stock he built for me in 2024 and I have won several matches and always very consistent top 5, he has also built his daughters gun that won a ton of matches and beat up on some of the top shooters on this site, last years IBS rookie of the year shot his rifle build, Rookie of the year runner up shot his rifle build as well. oh and the 300 yard national champion, 3 place 100-200 yard champion, shot his builds. and his bullets. so just believe the targets. check points, if they were 1 tenth as bad as the nay sayers here then how do they always shoot????
And just remember that the trash talking about each other here is why this sport is losing steam and why new shooters would rather shoot PRS and F-class, at least those guys are always supporting each other and helping one another, id be afraid to shoot with any of you guys paired up with me keeping score. sadly some of you will have the guts to face him at a match and be like oh hey buddy,, and some of you that are talking still shooting his bullets.... amazing just amazing... like I said misery loves company and there is a lot of that here...
That stock is gorgeous! Who made it and finished it?
