I’m a big fan of Vortex and Nightforce and their warranty service especially after owning a number of scopes from both and having used Vortex’s twice in the last year for two different spotting scope issues (both my fault). However I think Leupold gets forgotten sometimes in the wake of Vortex but they reminded me how good they can be when I took in a pair of my mid-90’s Wind River binoculars. After more than 20 years of heavy use the eyecups were getting brittle and cracking so I took them in last week and they said they would repair them. Mind you these were NOT gold ring products but instead an entry level budget minded product. Yesterday I received a brand new pair of BX-4 Pro-Guides on my doorstep. I never imagined they’d send me a new $480 pair of binos to replace my old $180 ones. I know it’s not always going to go this way for everyone, and sometimes it’s the luck of the tech who looks over your stuff, but with more frustration than love for a lot of warranty issues going around lately I thought I’d share an example of great service.
