Leupold warrenty

Homeowners insurance is fine, as long as the accident happens at home. There is always a deductible on property damage, unless you are self insured.

I am covered no matter what or where with ZERO deductable with anything I have specifically insured with a serial number. Now, I had some golf clubs stolen out at the CC and the insurance company issued a check....which i didn't cash....I tracked down the villans and got my stuff back.

I have 3 Leupold scopes that were boosted by Premier Reticles and are mounted on rifles used for Silhouette shooting. It has been some time since the controversy between these two companies took place, but my recollection was that I was not pleased with Leupold's behavior. I have around $1,500 or more invested in these scopes and the thought that I could not get someone to repair them if something went wrong was not pleasing to me at that time.

You have to understand that Leupold and Dick Thomas (founder of Premier) had a longstanding business relationship that was rewarding to both Leupold and Premier. It is also a fact that 95% or more of the parts in a Premier modified scope were made by Leupold. It did not sit well with me that Leupold would refuse to warranty a scope that they profited from and authorized Premier to modify!!!

Prior to that episode I only bought Leupold scopes, since then I have bought Leupold scopes when a screaming deal came my way, but have broadened my buying patterns such that I buy a lot more scopes that are not Leupold than are.

I recently sent a scope back to Leupold (for the 2nd or third time) for a parallax issue and it was fixed, but I was not happy they pretended that there was nothing wrong with it in the first place.

I have never not gotten leupold to fix a premier scope and ive been thru a ton of em over the last 20yrs. I even sent one back that had a jlc locking objective installed and numerous tucker conversions and not once did i get charged a dime

OOPS! Looks like our resident know-it-all has slipped again.

I should clarify......,my 4 wheelers , cars, and snowmachines are serial number specific, but there is a $250.00 deductible on them. It is just my guns/optics, and the golf clubs that have a serial #'s that have the zero deductible.

I hope I have the same luck if I ever need it!
