Leupold warranty

Want to mention an 18 day turnaround for Leupold with a problem I had with their scope. I think that time frame is admirable as it included a coast to coast trip and back. In addition notified me they received the scope, were working on it, and when I could expect it back. They were right on.

Cannot beat their warranty service. When you call customer service, you actually talk to a real, live person, not a recorded message to leave a phone number and they will return your call, (when they get around to it?).

Leupold pays return shipping charges compared to another companies requiremnent that you must send a postal money order for $15 to cover return shipping.

And, one of the reasons used Leupolds are so easy to sell & retain their value is because of the forever warranty, no matter who owns it. With the other company, mentioned above, you better have your sales receipt or you have no warranty.

My experiences with Nightforce have been a duplicate of those with Leupold, both class companies.

Never needed to use that service, I liked that more about mine!

First time for me and I've been buying them since the 60's. Just reassuring to know it is so well run.

the wind blew my vx-3 6.5-20x50 30mm tube of the shooting bench onto concrete before I was able to mount it. there was no visible damage but since I picked it up used and it took a hard hit I sent it in and they replaced the internals. even though you wouldn't think dropping onto concrete would b covered it was.

i had the EXACT thing happen to me except my buddy knocked mine onto concrete and the internal damage was visible. i sent it to leupold with a letter taking full blame and requesting repair and i would pay...complete repair and they did not charge me a dime!!!

I gave my binoculars a good rap over a boulder one day. They should have broke, but it only knocked them out of focus. Sent them in with a letter telling them what I had done and asked if they could be fixed at a reasonable cost. They sent me new ones, actually an upgraded version at no charge.

I once sent a 6.5-20 to Leupold to have target knobs installed. I had purchased it used. They returned a brand new scope with target knobs, and said it was replaced because the tube was bent. Only charge was for the conversion.
