Leupold VX 6HD vs NF ATACR

Looking for thoughts between the Leupold VX6 HD 4-24 and the NF 5.5-25

Scope will be mainly used for a toss around between various rifles and shooting paper and steel out to a mile.
My biggest question would be reliability and is the NF worth 1K more over the VX6

My ATACR was a good fit, on a 20 lb 338. It is a ridiculously large scope. The 5.5-22 NXS is the scope Id be looking at. Still hard to beat it. The vx6HD is excellent. Probably my favorite hunting scope on the market. I own both the NXS and vx6hd. For a heavy rifle the NXS for one that will get carried, the vx6hd

I have a few of the older ATACRs 5-25s with the MOAR reticle. I like them a lot, but as Alex stated, they huge & heavy. In TPS TSR aluminum rings, they tip the scales at 2lb, 13.5oz! Great glass, very solid. They also have a lot of elevation adjustment - 120 MOA, I think. I don't own a VX6, so no help there.

Thanks for the input, I went a totally different direction. I found a couple left over Mark 4 8.5-25x50 with TMR Reticles for 900.00 each so I scooped them up.

For what I’m doing they’ll work for load developing and plinking steel out to a mile.
