My leupold vari-x 6 3-18 x44 arrived today. i got to look through it for a few minutes around 5:30pm eastern time.
from what i could see it looked great. got it mounted up on savage 16 in 6.5 creedmoore. I hope to shoot it this weekend if i can and spend some more time comparing it to other scopes. only problem i could find with it so far is it is kind of short between the power ring and turret in the rear and short between the turret and bell in the front.
there is very little movement to move it around. I would think trying to mount it to my kimber 8400 long action may be alittle bit of trouble..at least that is the way it seems to me..
anyone else have one?
if so what do you think of it?
I went with the 44mm because 1} it was $100.00 cheeper. and i have never really had a problem with my vari-x2 4-12 x40 in low light. so i felt if it was any better than my vari-x 2 then it would be good enough. pluss less bulk on a hunting rifle is not a bad thing.
