Leupold 50 foot Adapter

Has anyone purchased one of the Leupold 50 foot adapters for post 2004 scopes? I just received mine today and found something curious. While the adapter will screw on to the objective lens threads, the sun shade will not screw onto the female side of the adapter. It seems that the male thread and the female thread are two different sizes.

I would call leupold directly.They will have the answer.

I don't think I'll get much help there! When I asked for the Leupold part number for the 50 foot adapter for post 2004 scopes I was told that there was only the one for pre 2004 scopes! :

I would also like to use the screw-in lens caps.

I am trying to use the 50 foot focus adapter with the Leupold VX-II 6-18x40mm scope. I cannot get the scope to focus at 50 feet! Any suggestions? The scope is new and the adapter is for the post 2004 scopes.

I believe I have found the problem! I just recently went to the eye doc and he found that the cataract in my right (shooting) eye has gotten a lot worse! Will have to try the adapter again after my cataract surgery!
