Leupold 45 Competition repair options?

The parallax adjustment doesn’t work. Does anyone have any recent information on what Leupold is doing, these days? I searched the archives and read that they can’t fix them for lack of parts. Some guys said they were offered replacement scopes but that post was a year or two old.
Any input will be helpful!

I was thinking about calling them to see what they are offering as a replacement for a 36x. If yours doesn't work at all then any upgraded new model should be worth it.
Go to the leupold site and register and then go through the warranty process.

I read the internet BS also but I just had one repaired that had parallax problems.

I sent my 45 x 45 comp back in January for a non-working parallax and a drooping reticle. They fixed it and sent it back 4 weeks later. Works like new.

Old post I know but this is more relevant than ever as these popular discontinued scopes age. I sent in a 24x for repair and leupold told me there’s very few parts left for any of the fixed power and competition line and replaced it with a mk4 hd 6-24. I’ve heard of a 45x getting replaced with a mk5 7-35. Not a very comparable optic but at least it’s not a downgrade

It's amazing how much correct information folks could get and usually find satisfaction by contacting the manufacturer direct. Of course that would eliminate a lot of worthless posts. Just a general thought, not direct to you Josh. Glad they could fix it for you. So many want someone else to do the work these days.

The scopes they can't fix are the old 36X scopes with one inch tube. I sent my 40X and got it fixed.

I put the scope on a new gun, then found the issue. When I posted the question, I was hoping to get “recent” feedback on how they were doing and leade times. It was after normal business hours and I was curious. Should I buy a new scope or expect to get the Leupold back in a month? 2 months? Longer?
I ended up buying a new scope during the Black Friday sales. Best to plan for the worst while hoping for the best.
It was all hypothetical because it was an unknown as to what was broken.
I understand your point. I see many posts asking questions that would best be answered by just doing it. That would curtail a lot of jaw boning.
