If you don't mind a 45X scope keep on the lookout for a Bob Brackney frozen Leup competition in his external adjust rings. No movement once adjusted. Not sure if he still offers the mod and rings.

Surprisingly we had the externally adjustable rings show movement too. Thats why we mount the frozen scope in regular solid rings on the checker. If the scope checker taught me anything, its you want as little places for possible movement as you can get. Things only have to move about .0001" at a ring to be worth about 1/16 moa of reticle movement on target.

Anecdotal on my part... They both shoot cleans... and you know f class guys crank around on the magnification during a match.

They only shifted about .1 moa on average. Not easy to detect.

I heard reports like that too. But we never tested one like that. Not to say it didnt happen. I think we tested about 30 or so, but they all performed about the same.
