Leupold 40 or 45 Comp vrs NF 12-42 BR for 600 yard Bench Rest

which scope of these three would you choose to shoot groups at 600 yards,,it seems I shoot my 8-32 Sightron on 32x all the time no matter how bad mirage is so not sure the vari power would be worth the extra cash,,if the NF is a lot clearer and brighter on 42 than the 40-45 Leupold would make it worth it,,

Two things that you didn't mention that is helpful or needed for 600. One is you need 1/8 min clicks. 1/4 is too much to get centered a lot of times. The 10 ring or xring is small. The other thing is some days 40 or 45 power may be too much too shoot. Mirage or haze can get real bad and sometimes I need to turn the power down. Both scopes you mentioned are ok but I would prefer the Nightforce because of the variable. I like the Nightforce Competition even more. It is way clearer. Matt

I have shot rifle with Competition and they are very nice but I cant do that,,looks like I may have bought a 35x Leupold Comp with raised FCH last night so we will see how it goes ,,

weight is the determining factor.
If you can pass weight with the NF, do it. If not, do a Loopy.
