Let's see YOUR 6XC

Here is the last one I built. Don't have a pic handy of my first. This is a McM Rem Hunter stock, Stiller Predator, Krieger #5, Jewell trigger. Currently has a 6.5-20 Leupy on it. Shot 51 shots (17 3 shot groups) with 5 different charge weights of H4350 (39.7-40.5gr) and SMK 107's. Those 51 rds averaged just under .5 with smallest group being .094". Very happy with how it turned out and handles. Love the XC!

Here is my Remington 40 XB 6xc single shot. 30" Krieger barrel, no turn neck. Kieff firing pin. McMillon F class stock 3" forearm. Stock has been clear coated. Scope is Nightforce 8 x 32 x 56 NPR2 with Nightforce rings & bases.

No blood with this one yet. My first one is 700 action, Rock RV contour barrel, Brown Precision Kevlar stock and Jewell with 4.5-14 Conquest. Have 35+ coyote, 4 deer and a handful of porcupine. Same load as listed above. Longest yote was ranged at 481yds. Last yote though was 3yr this coming Dec 28. Wild coyotes, high gas prices several yrs back and crappy health last couple of yrs I just haven't been out much. Now with stroke last Jan I don't know how/if there will be anymore song dogs! :(

Do you guys have any inherited reason to choose a 6XC (besides Norma brass) over a 6mm Creed?? I ask because I'm about to purchase a 6mm barrel plus a reamer in some 6mm cartridge...

This xc was built and cerakoted by Travis Stevens at TS Customs in Miller, South Dakota. Stiller tac30 AW, Shilen 8 twist in heavy palma, Manners t4-a, Hawkins precision rings, Atlas pod, Kahles K624i with Skmr2 reticle and the brake from Josh Kunz at Patriot Valley Arms.

How you like that Kahles K624i?? I'm thinking about one down the road.. I noticed you have dealt with Patriot Valley Arms before. I have a $250 dollar shop service certificate from them, hows their services??

wow some awesome Rigs. SDWirlwind sorry to hear that.

Gene66, Nate o I need to know how they shoot?

DanS Did you make the stock? very nice.

It's a Borden Alpine action with Remington style bolt handle and a Wyatt's Extended Box Magazine fitted. Throated for 105 A-Max with .274 neck. Jewell Trigger with top safety. 1:8 twist True Flite barrel. Barrel length – 23.5 inches. AU-SL5 moderator. Harris bipod. Pillar bedded Darrell Holland stock. A March scope with Burris mounts sitting on a Third Eye Tactical 0 MOA rail.

First shot on Saturday afternoon in the fading light hit the centre of the gong at 400 yds. 3 shots for an ~2.25 inch group.

Regards JCS

Here you go @FJIM. 5 shots @ 400 yds with a bipod and rear bag. Had a little up and down wind from right to left. Using 105 hybrids I'm getting a Velocity of 3090 with a single digit SD.

@shootstraight22 the Kahles is the best I've ever had. Tracks perfectly, super glass, excellent reticle, love the top parallax and the feel of the adjustments is second to none.

Other than the brake (which works very well) I haven't used any of Josh's other services, but have heard very good reviews.

My Tubb 2000 chambered in 6XC with 30 inch Krieger 1:7.5 heavy palma barrel and Nightforce B.E.A.S.T. scope. Was shooting Hbn coated DTAC 115s at 2980fps over 40.0g of IMR 3450 in Norma brass this past saturday at 1000 yds and ringing 1moa steel plates like they were tin cans at 25 yds. Incredibly accurate !!!

Here's a pic of one of my 3. It is a Rem 700 with a standard stock, Nikon Monarch scope, jewel trigger, Lilja 1-10 twist 26" length. It shoots a nice range of bullets very well. I especially like the 75gr Vmax..... it never exited on this coyote :o that was taken at approx. 150 yds if I remember correctly. :) WD

I'm using the T2K bipod spud adapter that bolts to the hand guard and can be ordered thru David Tubb's website - http://www.davidtubb.com/bargain-tubb/bipod-spud

and a Versa-pod bipod which is a piece of junk. I will be upgrading to an

Atlas bipod - http://www.accu-shot.com/Atlas_Bipods.php

or

The LRA "F" class - http://www.eurooptic.com/longrange-accuracy.aspx

as soon as Santa brings it :-)

Here is my first 6XC, Untrued Rem 700, Tubb firing pin, Jewell trigger, 26.5" Broughton 1:10 Med Palma, GRS Hunter stock, EGW Rail, Warne rings, Leupy 6.5-20x50. I use this rifle for Hunting rifle competitions. Load is an 87gr Berger VLD over our local equivalent of IMR4350. 3250fps which is low but I don't like to hotrod it, it is on a nice node. :)

Oh yeah, it also has an Aimzonic suppressor. Zip recoil or noise!

That is very nice XKv8r. How does it shoot that 87 gr'er. I fired a few 87 V max's out of my 1-8 twist for fun and they shot real good. I also played with some small game loads with blue dot load behind a 65 V max at a low low low velocity and they shot real good I was just scared of shooting like 8 grs of blue dot so I quit doing it.

I thought we might get to see some match wining iron sight rifles? ??

seems mostly just us 6XC hunting guys.
