Lets see those hunting rifles

Specs?

Both are Fierce titanium Edge actions with Bix n Andy triggers. Both are currently sitting in Fierce Carbon Edge stocks. Both have Murphy Precision titanium rails screwed and glued. I have a Mcmillan A3 currently getting dipped in Kuiu Verde. I have a total of four barrels. One 26" SAAMI 30 Nosler, one 26" Proof sendero 300 PRC, one 26" Proof sendero 6.5 PRC, and one 27" 30 Nosler with ~.200 freebore. I have been running the March 3-24 on the Verde rifle. It will be getting an NX8 when it shows up. The Vias has a 4-32 NX8. Weights depend on the barrel. There is also 6oz difference between the two stocks even though they are the same stock.

The Fierce titanium actions with trigger and mag setup weigh 32oz. One stock weighs 32oz one weighs 26oz. The A3 weighs 32 oz. 26" Proof senderos weigh around 3lbs. The 26" Feirce weighs 2.5lbs. The 27" weighs 2.75lbs.

Hopefully this one get used today for some terminal testing with the 156. 6.5 PRC is shooting well so far, moving the 156 at 3100.

3100 in a 24"??? I have been around a few with 24" and 26" and 3040 is pretty stout in the 26" with N565 210ms and ADG. What powder, primer, and brass?

A stout load of RL 26. ADG brass Fed Mag primer. For some reason this barrel shoots fast. I didn’t believe it either. Thought the magneto speed was lying. Lol. But turns out the average was 3099. That was over 10 shots. Once fired brass as well. The primer was starting to protrude a little, the bolt lift was still good so I called it good.

Too many guns and not enough hunting season!! I’ve decided to use my Gen 1 RPR chambered in .243 Win for this years PA rifle season. It’s sub 1/2 moa with Berger 105 HVLD over RL22.

Of several that i hunt with, this one is my favorite. It is a trued Remington 700 SA with Sako extractor and Wyatts extended mag box in an HS Precision varmint stock. The barrel is a 28” Krieger Rem Varmint 1-8” twist chambered in 243 Ackley. Jewell HVR trigger. Scope is a Nightforce BR 8-32 NPR2. I shoot Berger 105 Hybrids in this rifle.

My older Sako 270 Win. Shoots the Sierra varmeter 110 grain better than the 130 grain rem bulk pack bullets. I only use it to hunt deer/few Groundhogs fell victim to it also. Mike in Ct

They do not limit oal, you can throat the cartridge properly to put the shank of the bullet up the neck

that right there is the main benefit from my perspective

having to load to mag length leaves a lot of accuracy on the table

I have seen the 215 do that on deer. Its widest wound cavity is close to the exit side.

Cash’s first year hunting. Home assembled AR. Old Rock Creek barrel in 300 whisper. 155gr hunting vlds at 1887fps. Exit wound at 50 yards. He made a 100% perfect shot.
