There’s a wealth of knowledge in this site, that information alone is easily worth a silver membership, annually. I know I come here all the time to look for tips and information, I know most active members do. Only makes sense to buy a membership. If you frequent the classifieds even more so.
My brother turned me on to this site 8 years ago or so, we had both bought 6BRs and were looking for more information, when he found the site he said he had hit the mother load and we could get what we needed all in one place. How true that was. I’ve found so much more since. I hope this site stays strong, I don’t think I have a clue what it takes to keep up with it on a daily basis, It’s so easy to take it for granted. Imagine waking up one day and clicking on the site and it’s not here anymore, what a nightmare that would be.
I’ve met some quality people here, the sense of community is unique IMO. I’m happy to kick a few more $$ in the pot.

In the grand scheme of things, $200 is not a lot of money, but it’s not pocket change either. Let’s look at what pocket change could do.
3.4% of 57,739 members is roughly 2000 paying members, if we each sent the boss a dime, that $200 is covered.
If the remaining 55,000 sent a dime, or a nickel, or a quarter, or even a dollar bill, think of the impact it would have.
The site has a way for donations other than silver and gold memberships. If everyone were to donate this weeks pocket change to the forum, it could make a real difference.
Then if we all can be on our best behavior for 48 hours, the boss could take a couple days off.

Time and again in these types of posts I see non-contributors get their backs up in the air and opine that their "contributions" in expertise are an equitable substitute for digging into their pockets. These are generally the same ones who brag about their custom rifles, premium bullets and exorbitantly expensive scopes. In the meantime, the 3.4% is carrying the load for their use of the site. The calls for higher tiers at additional cost, while laudable, fall on deaf ears for those people and only mean additional burdens on the ones who actually do pay.

If my ability to pay for a Gold Membership helps the site to run so that someone that can't afford to pay receives some help them I have done my part. I have seen answers to questions from non paying members that have helped me out. I don't judge, I can't judge.
