somethin weard brass and green slime

I have recently cleaning a lot of brass, some mine and some range,
I sorted into trays 9mm,40,45acp, and set aside stacked on top of each other

today I went back to sort some more and the top two trays, 9mm and 40sw the brass had a liquid - dark green, on the brass and settled to the bottom of the trays below the brass the fluid is thick and takes dishwashing soap and a scrubber to get it off the tray, it is green in color

I looked at the shelf above, and nothing leaking that could have caused this, the two bottom trays were clean as they came out of the vibrator.

I have a vibrator and use Lyman cob mixture, they the filter screen to get the cleaning agent out of and off the brass. this is done by hand.

any ideas?

Bob

LOL, Maybe its a case of CRS. I know its happening to me more often lately. I walk into a room and can't remember why I went there. I leave the room and it suddenly occurs to me why I went and the cycle starts all over again. Not sayin' you are afflicted but if the shoe fits............ :D

Gather it up and send them to me. I'll do some tests. I'll even pay shipping. Might be bug poo! Maybe someone is playing tricks on you?

I have some rounds I loaded probably 30 years ago that developed a green sticky coating on them. Now that I think about it I have factory loads that old and some a lot older that don't have the green stuff on them. I wonder if it could have something to do with case lube. Also had some rounds in leather belt loops for a few years and they got the green stuff on them. I thought it was just a kind of corrosion but mabie not.
