I was being facetious since people who didn't have the brass in their possession were telling me something I could see with my own eyes.

You can also get new LC Nato from a few milsurp dealers like Pat's and Bartletts. My assumption is they are offered bulk overrun product on occasion. Lake City makes like 2 million 223 cases a day.

thanks, I looked. Pat's has new LC 5.56 in stock but I don't need any now. Saving their page for future reference. For anyone else looking, their ad says "uncrimped"

At the end of the day, what matters most is that the cartridges fire so the OP can continue to fireform his brass.

I am still skeptical as to his diagnosis, but if it's working then it's working. But I won't be uniforming primer pockets if I have FTF problems in the future.
