Legal or not for FTR and F-Open?

The issue I see is that it joins the legs of the bipod to the rear of the rifle, (I'm visualizing a big triangle here,) and that's a problem; multiple attachment points and front as well as rear.

Where's this attachment rule you are looking at? I can't find it.

It's in the High Power Rules under F-Class Section 22.........3.4.1 Rifle Rests -

(b) F-Class Target Rifle (F-TR) Rests-

(3) A bipod is a device with no more than two legs that touch the firing point. It must be rigidly attached to the forend of the rifle. The bipod may have rigid or folding legs, and may be adjustable to compensate for the uneven surface of the firing point.

I bet it doesn't hop that way...

Legal? I say yes so long as there is a rigid attachment to the forend and it only has two feet.

I can see the reason that such a contraption would work. Don't know if it would make enough difference to be worth the trouble.

Sounds legal to me as it is attached at the front and no more than two points are touching the ground.

Did the rods adjust? It would seem like the rods would force the Sinclair Bipod to cant when adjusted for leveling...

There's plenty of flaws in home grown ideas but they are trying to compete with what they own. I have great respect for the determined. Let em shoot. He most likely is leveling his shooting surface with shims if the rod length doesn't easily adjust.

I don't know of any rules limiting the bipod to single point attachment. I'm trying to imagine how he avoids the access to the triggers.

Yeah Rules don't state to a single point but do state "rigidly attached to the rifle’s forend"......

And I would say that the lack of wording of attaching to anywhere else but the forend, means just the forend only.
