Lee collet die or Redding s neck sizer

I have used the Redding body die in conjunction with the Lee Collet neck in the past and it gave me great results. Recently I went with the Redding FL bushing die. Either way gets the job done.

So you do prefer the lee over the Redding s bushing die for the necks?

+1 for the Lee collet die. Plus you can buy different size mandrels from Lee to change neck tension. About 5$ each
So could you say in a round about way the collet die with the mandral almost is like turning your necks inside and out ? Kind of like you are squeezing them to perfection?

No. You're not changing neck tickness. But IMO it's doing much more(than brushings) for concentricity.
I guess that’s what I meant by “turning”. Not changing the thickness, but more about having a concentric neck wall thickness which helps eliminate (kind of) eliminate the need to turn necks on a standard chamber. Although you said you can order different diameter Mandrels from lee, which in theory would change thickness?

I won't speculate right now but should be able to give a opinion in a week. Next time I process .260 practice cases I am going to divide the brass into 3 piles and size using different methods and check the run out on each method to see if one or the other method stands out in any way. Just a quick test using fifteen cases per method but if one is markedly better it should stand out.

Can’t wait to hear the results, please let me know
