Lee APP to seat bullets

Has anyone tried this yet? Was wondering how this would work. I have 2 of these and they are a great little press. There is no slop in the press at all where it counts. It should work well.

My 2 regular presses are getting some slop in the ram. A RCBS rock chucker and a Pacific 007.

For plinking and hunting or competition?

mainly plinking. The rifle club has prairie dog shoots in the summer. Was going to try that this year. 10 shots at 100 and 10 at 200.

Was just wondering how consistent these presses could be. There is no play in them. I mainly use them for processing handgun brass and sizing bullets. I know LEE has a bad name but some of their stuff can be good.

Right now I have a Redding Competition seater coming. As of right now I am using a Lee seater as thats what I have. And right now I am able to load the 223 to shoot groups in the 0.2"-0.3". And that is with the presses that are worn. I wanted to try these presses first before I buy a new O frame press.

So if these things can load straight ammo I am going to try. I just have not really sen anyone try to load ammo on one.

I haven’t done it personally but unintentionally came across this video from Lee yesterday titled Lee APP Press Reloading Ammo. Could be worth loading some rounds up to test against those made on your other presses.
