Can anyone offer what is the best material to put on a leather rear rest bag to make it slippery. I know silicon spray works well on cordora, but not sure about my leather rear bag. Thanks

Thanks so much. I had heard of others using powder, but thought I would check with members here.

This stuff works wonders as well.

I just recieved some Sinclair Bag wax that I hoped would be excellent. However it seems gritty rather than slick. Do I need to have the bag conditioned with some other wax to get the powdered bag wax to work?

I came up with a mix or 50/50 carnuba powder and ptfe powder. It worked well in humid sticky conditions.
I found the ptfe powder but can you tell me w

I found ptfe powder but cannot find the carnival powder. Can you tell me where you got that from. Thanks

Talcon powder!...hahaha..bro didn't they pull that product off the market in the 90's?..I think it was causing cancer, or causing people to not sweat and die...
And most of us grew up being lathered in it from dear old mom...
Hahaha..
I took about a 5yr break from shooting..
Ding out my equipment I found my poor leather rest...its nice..I love it and filled it with Sinclair heavy sand..but boy is it ugly right now
Was hoping to find how to fix her up..
I've come up with
3000 grit Emory cloth, then wipe with olive oil, then cover in baby powder..
??..any one??

Remove sand, place in sun, or microwave to warm up. Work in leather conditioner and re-heat. May take several attempts to bring it back.

Swallow your pride, and go with used dryer sheets. Not messy and they protect your expensive bag. Just tape them on. A little powder can be added if desired. Some dried out “covid hand wipe” sheets are even slicker.

If your ego won’t let you be seen using them at a match, at least you can use them for load work up and practice, when no one is watching, and save you bags that much wear;)
