Lead times on custom builds

For those that have a rifle being made at some of the listed gunsmith in the forum what are th lead times.
I am wanting to look into possibly getting a 6ppc done.
Thanks

If have all parts anywhere from a week to several years.
If no parts G/S needs to order. A Loooonnngg Time.
All depends on the smith.
Don't believe if told 2 weeks never gonna happen.
Not all smiths fall into the above list

Some smiths are GREAT and Give honest timetables.
Must seek them out

O D C R (WSMNUT) lead time probably will run around 6 months or longer depending on component availability but it will be well worth the wait. The good part with Zack is he will shoot straight with you and give you an honest time frame. He is just finishing up my ninth build plus two builds for close friends of mine locally.

I agree. With all parts delivered to the Smith, six months would be on the conservative side.

It will take longer than you will like, but it's the only way to get what you want and know what you have. If it is to be a competition quality shooter, the bullets, primers and powder are the components that you need to start collecting now. If you're buying a new rest, that may take a year. I changed barrels from a 6PPC to a 30BR and I still don't have the rest I want.

I have placed my order for a front rest similar to Farley it will be here next month. I have powder and primers already since I have a 6ppc in a Hall action ( just want a newer action with left port, right eject. Etc.
Have my arbor press, in line seater, custom fl die. Just need a upgrad on a rear bag.
Leupold 45x scope is what I have now...

My smith is Jeff Walker in Culpeper Va. He is at a year on a new build. Barrel replacement is at 2 months or so.

That sounds good. You obviously aren't new to the sport, just making a change in specific equipment.

Yes sir , i went with a great beginner rig I bought from a forum member. I wanted to test the waters before jumping head first into Deeper waters.
The Limited availability of stocks for a outdated action is my reasoning for upgrading plus the various Port options..
Is there a reason why Speedy isn't on the list of gunsmiths?
