If you do not know simply say; "I do not know". When a reloaders chooses to use a trimmer that sets up on the shoulder of the case he should understand when measuring the length of the case from the end of the neck to the case head the measurement includes the head space/length of the chamber from the shoulder to the bolt face.

When I measure the length of the case I add the .011" if I am measuring from the end of the neck to the case head. I could ask how a reloader is expected to measure the two different length of a case but that would be cruel.

obviously when you fireformed that case the neck got shorter. If you don't know the length of the neck in your chamber how do you know you even need to trim after adding your new arbitrary length to the case? you may never need to trim these cases with the short necks.

To the OP, I have both and use both. The WFT works great as long as you have all of the case shoulders resized the same. And the Wilson trimmer works great also. I only use the Wilson more because it's cheaper for me to buy different case holders for different cartridges than a new WFT for every one that I have. With that said I can use the WFT with a couple of cartridges, but only if the case design is of the same family and the shoulder angel is the same.
