LC 223 brass

A recently acquired 500 hundred 223 brass for reloading. There are the usual headstamps, but a few hundred are stamped LC 223 rem. No date or scamp marks but they are crimped. I searched the internet and can’t really find any info on them. I don’t want to waste my time if they are “knockoffs” or junk. Thanks for the help.

I load the heck out of LC, mainly bolt action and have had gread results. I do not sort it in a y way. Load and go. If for a gas gun i just grab brass and load. I never try to push them hard this way since im just mixing it up. I find what shoots well and go with it. If you are trying to push things then i would pay more attention

25.5 gr Benchmark under a 52 gr Speer flying garbage can shoots sub moa in 3 of my ar’s and .5 in my bolt gun. That’s as hot as I care to go. Kills coyotes dead, when I don’t miss.

I normally use Lapua brass in my AR 223, and the last time I did some reloading I loaded up some unsorted LC brass after I got finished with the Lapua loads. I had prepped the LC brass a few months earlier, but had never used it. Same primer, bullet, and powder charge. I just wanted to see if I could see a difference in the accuracy. I’d say the LC loads shot a slightly looser 10 shot group at 100 yards, but the diff was small. Pigs and coyotes will still suffer.
