Um Sir, we had a little problem while changing your oil.
Sometimes you could tear down a piece of equipment, find absolutely nothing wrong, put it back together and it would run like a charm. The operator was happy and signed our work order. We would tell them to run it and watch it.Fixed is fixed. Isn't it? Does it matter how you arrived at "fixed"?
Wish I had seen that 50 years ago. I have wrapped tape inside a box end wrench a few times.
