Lathe lead screw 8TPI VS 4TPI

I am in the process of purchasing a new lathe. I noticed some have a lead screw of 8tpi and others are 4tpi. I was wondering if someone could tell me if 8 or 4 tpi are better and maybe why.

I like the 4 tpi lead screw. It's easier to avoid latching in off the number on the threading clock because of the coarse pitch. That is particularly helpful at higher threading speeds, and cutting coarser threads when the lead screw is turning fast and the carriage moves fast.
