I'm considering a NF Competition Fixed 42X scope for a new 6PPC LV rifle I'm getting. Weight is therefore a consideration. While there has been lots of discussion about the NF 15-55X Competition, which I own, very little feedback has been given about the fixed 42Xs and essentially nothing in the past 16 months. I'm curious how owners like their scopes. Have they experienced (or are at least suspicious of) any reticle shifts?
Other scopes I'm considering include the March 48X HM, the Valdada 36X, and perhaps the new Sightron Fixed 45X that is just being introduced. I have a March 10-60 HM and, like a lot of people, believe the glass is better in the NF Competition scopes. I have 2 Valdada 36Xs, which I consider to be excellent scopes, but I've been advised they're probably a little under-powdered for serious benchrest shooting. Eagerly awaiting feedback on the new Sightrons.
Thanks in advance for your comments.
