Last Supper

That sure is a fat hog. I shot one of those pistols 2 different times and bot times I was impressed with the accuracy. Looks like y'all have been getting plenty of rain also..

If he was one inch shorter he'd be round!!!! That....is a fat hog. I have to admit to not having a lot of luck using the 17HMR on woodchucks.....it always kills them, they always die, but it seemed like too many of them made it back to their den. I would come back a week or two later to see a dead dried up carcass laying just outside the entrance.
Woodchucks are like Washington D.C. dope dealers....as soon as one gets shot his cousin or nephew moves right on into his house!!!!!

Man, ground hog hunting sounds like a hoot! Not to many here in Kansas.

You folks aint got too many squirrels either, haha...if you do they all must live in the same tree. But yeah, woodchuckin' is a lot of fun. There's just something about the way they stand up real straight and tall then look at you like, "what you say???" or "you talkin' to me??" then bang!!!! Yep, I am talkin' to you!!!...and I can tell by the pink cloud that you heard me too......yes sir, if you ever get the chance it is definitely a lot of fun.

When you shoot these critters all summer, it keeps you in practice for deer season.:)

Deer season??? Wassat?? ;) Groundhogs are reason enough to shoot them.

It is an existential question. The great French philosopher,Jean-Paul Sartre, said, "I think, therefore I am."

I would extend that. Woodchucks get shot, therefore they are. I shoot woodchucks, therefore I am.

"Deer" is what you call your wifie when you want something from her...

Heh. I love deer hunting for the solitude . . . getting on stand very early, watching the woods come alive, the light change, the weather change (sometimes), the animals and birds awaken and become active. If I get a deer, that's a bonus.

I love ground squirrel shooting because, if we hit a good field, it's practically non-stop shooting. It's a real test of marksmanship. You have small targets, limited time to hit one and you must be able to estimate wind and distance accurately.

I always take several rifles because . . . well, just because.
