Last Day of Work...RETIRING

Congrats, I bailed 3 months ago. Don't know how I ever found time to work. Too many projects to catch up on and too many hobbies that need my time. I like to provide the younger folks with an inspirational message whenever I can. Goes something like: Work harder you lazy bastards. :)

I'm at the shop, 2nd shift with about 90 minutes left before I'm done, after 35 yrs I'm retiring, more time for Faith Family and Guns
I've been blessed threw these years, just wanted to share with my forum Family, your a great bunch of guys.

Congratulations.....
Enjoy every single day of retirement.
I retired at 53 years old and have been loving it.....

Congratulations mark! You'll love it. I pulled the trigger 3 years ago and glad I did. I ran a lot of work on shut downs in refineries and it got to the point where I just didn't want to treat people the way they expected me to. I had a good crew and wasn't gonna be an a hole to them. Not seeing people you worked with for years was the only thing I miss. Hope you enjoy a long retirement and have a ball!

Congratulations on your retirement! You will soon occupy your time with a new set of things to do during the day and wonder how in the world you ever had time to work. Enjoy

Congrats!!! Well done sir, well done! Enjoy, I'm sure your church won't let you "retire" from Gods service!! ;-)

Congratulations Mark. Having 35 years at one employer is a rare achievement these days. Best wishes for a healthy and rewarding retirement.

Congratulations Mark, on your retirement. Hopefully just a life style change. Took me about a year to adjust to my new life. Thought it would more shooting, hunting, and fishing and it is, but there is be much more. Worked part time for a friend and got to travel the country by pick up truck. Moved on from there to Grandpa's day care. Add to that home maintenance for me Mom, my sisters Mother in law, and a couple of neighbors and life gets rather busy. I am thankful for my full life. Hope your new life brings many blessings.
