Large prime Decapping Pin sizes needed.

Grimstod

Machinist, Designer, and Shooter.
Hay guys I need some info.

I have Forster, Redding, and RCBS dies so those I know the size of their large Decapping Pins.
Would like to know what the Large primer Decapping Pin sizes are for the other die makers out here.

Ie.
Hornady
Lee
Lyman
Whiden
21st Century
and any others out there.

Thanks for the info.

Just a WAG, .061. Could never figure out why all the die manufacturers don't just settle on .058 for ALL dies. That way there's no guessing game going on with regards to pin sizes required for certain brass manufacturers. Would save some grief for reloaders pushing the larger ones through the small flash hole brass.
Doesn't make sense.

Agreed. Thanks for the info. Do you have any Lee Hornady or Lyman dies you can measure?

I have a Lee universal decapping die. I reduced the diameter so it would fit in the small primer holes so before that, I'm guessing it was at least .062.

My bies are all about .062 give or take a few tenths. Now my RCBS dies are huge. .070ish. One was .072 and another was .0705
