lapua test center, time from request to test?

whats the current time delay from request to testing date?

I'm looking fo a wed or thu appointment which I wouldn't think are big customer present / rifle in hand testing days

I've had a "request to test" in for a while now ( abut a month) and so far have gotten NO response beyond a confirmation that I had made an appointment request at the time of request

and lapua testing east hasn't called back when I left a message either

I read somewhere that they have stopped testing due to no ammo.
Found it, it's on SH.

Spoke with Luke they are low on test lots but still testing. Appointments are being spaced out until the next shipment arrives.

When I went there last year Luke had about 20 CX and 10 Midas + lots to test. I wouldn’t want to go with much less

With so few lots available I'm sure it is a difficult decision whether to go or not, especially if you're traveling a long distance.

I have an appt. on 4/27/21. Have not been told it is cancelled. Made appt around 2 months ago. Will let know if ther is a cancellation.

I'm flying to the test center in Arizona on the 27th. I asked about lot#s 11 midas plus, 7 CenterX, and not sure on the Polar Biathlon. I'll also bring some of my Ammo to see how it compares. Fly in in the morning, fly home that evening. Flights are pretty cheap right now.

I have an appointment for this Wednesday in Ohio. No notice of cancellation yet. I will try to make contact before then because it’s Four hours each way for me. I guess the selection won’t be as a good as usual, but I’m okay with that.

It was really a short conversation. It was at a couple minutes before 8AM so I suspect he was in a hurry. The nearest appointment was Six weeks out which is today. I’m about to head out. I hope they have Ammo when I get there.

I showed up and no one was there, doors locked lights out. I called the number one last . He answered it in his truck as he was pulling up.
It was a great experience. We ran 10 lots through my 452. I bought a case of the lot that shot best at 50 meters. There wasn’t a whole case of the stuff that shot best at 100 meters so I bought the nine bricks that there were. He gave me the remainder of the brick that was being tested since I was buying what was left of it.
So I was comparing the numbers to multiple rifle types on a chart on another forum. It bests several of the Rifles that cost Five times as much, still nothing to brag about, because the numbers weren’t anything extraordinary.

Time flew by. I was asking so many questions and just talking shop I wasn’t really paying attention to the groups. I left it to him to decide because that’s what he does.
I made another appointment for September.

Sub MOA should be easy to do in a rest with no wind.

off a concrete bench with a joystick rest and dr rear bag outside at 40yd (closest backstop my range has and no 50 yd backstop) using cci sv in switchy winds i've been getting mostly ~ 1moa,
best were a couple 5 rd groups at .38-.4in outside-edge to outside-edge

but the groups are blowing out to 2.5 - 3 inches vertical at 100yd, 5-6+ inches a 200 yds
not sure if its me , the ammo, the head/tail winds, or the barrel on rifle

at 200 yd i'm getting maybe 75-80% hits on a 6" x 10" 20% scaled uspsa torso target
i believe the misses are mostly wind

thus why I'm looking to test in controlled conditions
from request to test was about 2 mo?
how long was from request to having a set date to test?

i"m looking to shoot non league nrl22/nrl22x type steel plate only matches to 200yds
so i don't need 3p smallbore level precision but do want better than i'm getting with what i have in hand

To answer your highlighted question, I didn’t do a formal request on line. I’ve never been to the website. I had been calling and getting no answer for a couple weeks. One morning I called about 9AM and he actually answered. He then told me his soonest available spot was Five or Six weeks out. I made the appointment then.

I've been calling a couple times a week for the past 4 or 5 weeks also tried email never got a response yet, I would like to bring my Vudoo and Shilen barreled 2500x to get tested there only about 2 hours from me
