105 Scenars are one bullet I have never gotten to work in any barrel, and with such a poor BC, there are few incentives for using them. anyway

I'm the same way with 6pm bergers and varget. I'm the only brx shooter in the world who can't seem to get it together. The scenars and 550 are like peas and carrots.

I find the old scenars very uniform right out of the box and was wondering how much better the new L's would be. I guess there is only one way to find out.

I have to say that the 105L Scenar was an easy bullet to find a load for. I just backed off my coated SMK load with Varget .5 gr and took them to a match.

On a 4 x 600 shot 795-45X, best X count for me at a 600 yd match.

I do point them and with that, the BC difference between the Lapua, SMK or Berger really isn't noticable at 600. Realize that I am shooting NRA HP Prone with irons and scopes.

Everyone with a BRX that I know shoots 105 Bergers and RL-15 and swears by them. Probably just my gun, but X counts are much better with Varget and either the Lapua or SMK.

Yeah, I use the Berger 105VLD in my 6HAGAR, 6RAT and 6XC and love the results in all three. RL-15 in the 6HAGAR, 8208 XBR in the other two.

Got a bunch of the Scenars on the shelf, never could get them to shoot as good (though may try 'em as my Berger supply runs lower now that the barrels are well broken in).

Bob - you see Darryl L. anytime soon, remind him to keep me in mind when you guys send another batch of barrels out for nitriding. I have a couple I'd like to send along if possible. Sure was fun pulling, then scoring for him when he shot a double-clean week ago Sunday at 1,000 yards up at Winnequah!

Any new info on the bullets? Where they can be found?

I've bought regular Scenars from these guys before: http://www.eabco.com/Lapua05.html . They seemed to have the best prices at the time and are great to deal with.
