90 or 105 gr Scenar

The rifle is a Blaser lrs2, in 6mm norma Br.The barrel is a 1:8 twist Blaser match barrel. Its 62.7 cm long with 4 grooves. Planing to put a surpressor on it.
The plan is: 6mm Norma brass
Norma 203-B powder
CCI BR4 primers
Wich bullets are most suitable, 90 grains Lapua Scenar or 105 grains Lapua Scenar ?

I'd shoot the 90gr out to 300m and the 105gr beyond. You should also try Bergers and Sierras however. The Scenars have a slightly smaller shank diameter,about half a thousandth less) than the American bullets. In some barrels, the fatter Sierras and Bergers shoot a little better. I'd start with the Scenars though as I suspect that they'll work very well in your Blaser barrel.

You may also want to try some of the BIB 95gr Flatbase bullets too. They are extremely accurate in most barrels.

If ill try the Sierra Matchking,same bullet type as the Scenar). Is the 70 grain or the 107 grain to be prefered. The bullet will be used on Capercaillie http://www.taigavision.com/index.php?page=gallery&gallery=capercaillie/

The distance will be 150 to 450 meters.

With the 8 twist I would try both the 107's and 105's. The Laupa's are my favorite in a .243 for 1K yard F-Class...

When the temperature in northern Sweden drops to -15 celsius the Capercaillie stays up in the top of taller trees. This is because cold air drops to the ground and hot air stays high. It sits there eating, and keeps its temperature up. Often these trees are in large and open areas, close to swamps or cut down areas in the forest. To hunt them you use large skies and dress up in a white suit, with a rifle on you back. When you sea a bird you lay down in the snow,,often 1m deep) with your backpac as support. You often shoot it at 100 - 350 m.

So then ill try the Sirra 107 grains matchking and the 105 grains scenar. Is the "Silver jacket" to be to prefered on the scenars ?

Haven't shot the "Silver Jacket" but the 105's have shot lights out in 3 barrels for me...
